The project “Limassol: one city, the whole world” opens a new cycle of 18-month actions aimed at the smooth and effective integration of Third Country Nationals (TCN) in the province of Limassol and is implemented from September 2020 to February 2022 with a budget of € 200,000.
The partners consist of the Municipality of Limassol as the Final Beneficiary and Coordinator together with the Municipality of Agios Athanasios, the Municipality of Germasogeia and the Community Volunteer Council (SKE) Mesa Geitonia. Strategy as partners, planning and communication consultant is Opinion & Action while the Municipality of Mesa Geitonia participates as a subcontractor of SKE Mesa Geitonias.
The project is aimed at migrants from Third Countries (non-EU countries) living and working legally in Cyprus, people of subsidiary international protection – temporary protection, asylum seekers and Third Country Nationals legally residing in the Republic of Cyprus or located in process of obtaining legal residence.
The actions mainly concern the training and education of TCN, their interaction with the local community and the acceptance of diversity and the active participation of TCN in the local community. Despite the difficulties encountered by the pandemic, social assistance programs have already begun.
