The practical support of the process of integration of third country nationals (TCNs) in the Cypriot society, is promoted by the Municipality of Limassol and its partners in the program “Limassol: One city, the whole world”. The program, in which the Municipality of Agios Athanasios, the Municipality of Germasogeia, SKE Mesa Geitonias and the consultants Opinion & Action Services also participate as partners, has completed 8 years of successful implementation and will be renewed until the beginning of 2022.
While being co-funded by the European Fund for Immigration, Asylum and Integration, project staff provided to the beneficiaries (migrants, refugees and asylum seekers) opportunities to develop their skills, socialize and get to know local population. Also, “street work”, interventions to schools, day care and homework services for children were also important parts of the project.
